VESTA controls the 9-1-1 call-center environment. This powerful software-based telecommunications system allows information to flow seamlessly from telephone system, through dispatch, response and incident closure. With VESTA, call-takers manage multiple applications with a single keyboard and mouse. One intelligent workstation delivers functionality on an enterprise scale: VESTA is today's answer to the 9-1-1 call-taker's needs. Vesta is PEI's flagship intelligent workstation product. It is designed for PSAPs that require high-level integration and a clear migration path to future technologies. VESTA is a true 32-bit, Windows NT application that utilizes computer telephony integration (CTI) to centralize call-processing and 9-1-1 functions. VESTA's open architecture platform allows high-level integration with mapping, CAD, radio, automatic vehicle location (AVL), automatic collision notification (ACN), digital logging recorder (DLR) and other applications. Its client/server topology allows for no single point of failure and maximum scalability VESTA has a complete menu of standard features including: TTY, IRR, ANI/ALI with lat/lon, ALI view, pre-recorded greeting, auto-dial (tabbed speed dial), call control (hold, flash, priority, conference, release), master volume for head or handsets, call notes, alert as well as the titlebar and toolbar and more. VESTA also has some unique features. IRR for Radio records both telephone and radio conversations simultaneously and allows the user to review, forward and save the digital audio file for future reference. VESTA's Line Organizer screen provides users with call-status information helping users to prioritize call-processing. A printable Auto Dial list helps users reference and update speed dial lists. The ANI Callback list displays identification tags on abandoned and cellular calls for immediate re-dial. CAN is a new optional feature that displays unsolicited ALI from vehicles equipped with automatic collision notification. First released in 1995, VESTA is the most popular computer telephony integrated (CTI) 9-1-1 system in public safety and the flagship of PEI's current product offerings. It serves in some of the nation's busiest emergency communications centers including: Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, Minneapolis, Oklahoma City, and San Diego. VESTA is also used by a growing number smaller call-centers with as few as two call-taking positions. VESTA's popularity is driven by its ability to automate data exchange across multiplatform, multiprotocol environments thereby simplifying the call-taking process. It can work in conjunction with central office, PBX, ISDN or electronic key system platforms. It is a flexible and scaleable core application that meets changing needs without wholesale changes in technology. In a dynamic new world of telecommunications technologies, VESTA is the nucleus that prepares emergency call-centers for the new century. |
